F.A.C.T - Florida Armed Civilian Training

Today I begin a new blog called the Armed Civilian. As you may note from the title, I am interested in seeing civilians become legally and safely armed. The Second Amendment provides for ..."the right of the people to keep and bear arms...", but it does not ensure their ability to accomplish this right safely and legally. That’s where I and this blog come in.

I am certified by the NRA as an instructor in the discipline of "Basic Pistol." The State of Florida has entrusted their Concealed Weapons and Firearm training to NRA certified instructors. So after completing an NRA approved class, persons can qualify for their Concealed Carry Permit. As time goes on I intend to add other disciplines to my certification, such as "Personal Protection in the Home," "Personal Protection Outside the Home," and others, but for now the authority to teach basic pistol and Concealed Carry classes should keep me occupied.

In addition to class schedules and updates I will try to post articles of interest and links that I think will be of interest to the concealed carry community. I have added a "gadget" at the top of the page for readers who would like to easily share this blog with their friends, family, or associates. If you want to "follow" this blog, there is a "gadget" for that too!

As a final note in this maiden blog, I have been given the opportunity to be an NRA Recruiter. That means that you can join the NRA right here! I have a link for that (of course) at the top of the page. If you are already a member you can also renew your membership from here. There is a $10 discount off the regular price for memberships made from this blogspot. Thanks for reading and feel free to leave a comment if you like.
